Registered Nurse

Job Summary

FSG is seeking a Registered Nurse that enjoys working with communities. The RN must be enthusiastic and exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate and educate. The RN will work with FSG’s partnering agencies including Early Childhood and Head Start Programs, Senior
Centers and Senior Programs.

Job Responsibilities

The RN will coordinate and oversee all health and safety practices that adhere to the National Head Start (HS) Performance Standards. Monitor each child's health by performing periodic health checks, observations and screenings including vision, height, dental and weight. This also includes managing all health and nutrition components of the programs in accordance with
federal and state regulations, implementing the medication policy including administration of medication, and monitoring records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, The RN will work with senior programs and support the needs of aging adults and work closely with their primary care physicians, social workers, and the program to provide
individualized care to seniors.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Must enjoy working with children, families and communities.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin is preferred but not required.

 

Health Education & Professional Responsibilities

  • Serves as a health educator to children, families, adults, seniors and staff.

  • Acts as a resource person on health issues.

  • Attend and participate in staff meetings when requested.

  • Complies with medical, nursing, and educational ethics.

  • Case management, health intervention and interdisciplinary collaborating skills.
