ABA THERAPIST (Applied Behavioral Analysis)
Job Summary
FSG is seeking a certified and credentialed ABA Therapist this is able to work with children between the ages of 3-5 in schools and child care settings. The therapist works with children directly in the classroom that have ongoing behavioral issues and with children on the Autism Spectrum. The goal is to develop long term attainable outcomes for the child that focuses on behavioral change. Intervention is one hour each for each child/student and is continuous until sufficient progress is made.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Assess and study children’s behavior and apply ABA principles for improvement

Develop attainable goals for children with Autism and children with behavioral and developmental challenges

Must continually communicate and provide feedback to the program on the child’s therapy progress

Must effectively use behavioral redirection practices

Must be able to identify what triggers the negative behavior and determine attainable milestones

Provide a thorough and written case management narrative on the child’s progress weekly
Qualifications
-
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (additional languages are a plus) but not a requirement
-
Master’s Degree preferred in education, psychology or ABA but not required

Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written
-
Detail-oriented and strong organizational and follow up skills
-
Overall positive demeanor and warm attitude with ability to effectively engage children

2-5 years experiences working and practicing Applied Behavioral Analysis approaches
